Eminem x Air Jordan 4 Releasing In 2027

For more than two decades, the Eminem x Air Jordan 4 “Encore” has occupied a tier of sneaker collecting that few releases have ever reached. In 2027, one of the world’s most untouchable Air Jordan grails is finally expected to hit retail.

According to @zsneakerheadz, the Eminem x Air Jordan 4 “Encore” is expected to release in 2027, marking the first time the legendary collaboration will become widely available to the public. Originally created in 2005, the shoe has spent the last 20-plus years as the stuff of sneaker folklore, with the extreme scarcity of authentic pairs helping drive current asking prices north of $50,000.

The upcoming retail version is expected to closely resemble the 2005 original, retaining the predominantly blue appearance that made the “Encore” instantly recognizable. However, Jordan Brand will use Game Purple accents to replace the Varsity Red detailing of the original.

Scarcity has always been central to what made the Eminem Jordan 4 such a coveted item among collectors. With so few examples in circulation and prices reaching into five figures, the mythological shoe became something most enthusiasts could only experience through photographs, celebrity collections, and the occasional secondary-market listing.

The history of the shoe was also recently uncovered; as it turns out the colorway of the Eminem Jordan 4 was designed by Chris Gibbs. An early version of the design was originally created by UNDEFEATED before reportedly catching Eminem’s eye during a visit to Nike World Headquarters. The concept was ultimately given to the Detroit rapper, while UNDEFEATED moved forward with its own olive green Air Jordan 4 collaboration — another shoe that would achieve grail status in the years that followed.

Exact launch details have yet to be confirmed, but a preliminary release date of May 15th, 2027 has been noted.
