1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and ClosetKept LLC (“ClosetKept,” “we,” “us”), an Ohio limited liability company. By creating an account or using closetkept.com (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian’s consent. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and kept current.
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
- Upload content you do not own or have permission to share.
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in volumes beyond reasonable personal use.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute ClosetKept AI outputs without our written permission.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI models or the underlying API integrations.
- Use the Service to impersonate any person or to harass other users.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice. Material violations may be reported to law enforcement.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
ClosetKept offers free and paid tiers (currently Pro and Vault). Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the published price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account → Billing, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until then. We do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
We may change pricing or feature limits with 30 days’ notice via email and an in-app notice. Continued use after the notice period counts as acceptance of the new pricing.
5. Closet, IP, and your content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service — closet photos, item notes, conversations, outfits. By uploading, you grant ClosetKept a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for display and AI analysis), and create derivative works of your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for you. We do not use your closet or conversation content to train third-party AI models, and we do not share it publicly without your action.
6. Affiliate-link disclosure
ClosetKept participates in affiliate programs including (but not limited to) the eBay Partner Network, Amazon Associates, Skimlinks, CJ, Impact, AWIN, ShareASale, and Rakuten. When you click a retailer link from ClosetKept and complete a purchase at the destination, we may receive a commission. Editorial picks are never paid placements — recommendations are based on the model + community data, not on which retailer pays more. 7. AI outputs — no warranty
The ClosetKept AI concierge and AI search can be wrong, out of date, or hallucinate. AI recognition of photographed items, citations from the catalog, restock predictions, and pricing advice are offered as informational starting points only, NOT as a guarantee of authenticity, availability, or resale value. Verify everything independently before transacting. ClosetKept is not liable for losses resulting from reliance on AI output.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STASH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STASH AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, fraud, or abuse. On termination, paid features stop immediately; closet contents and conversations are deleted within 30 days per the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email and an in-app banner at least 7 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
