Devin Booker has always shown an appreciation for Nike Basketball history, and the Book 2 has become a platform for him to revisit some of the brand’s most memorable designs. Following previous versions inspired by Nike classics, Booker is now bringing the legendary “Eggplant” Foamposite look to his signature line. The original Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” debuted in 2009 and became one of the most respected colorways in the Foamposite family thanks to its metallic purple finish.

This Nike Book 2 is dressed in a Varsity Purple, Black, and Metallic Silver color scheme. The upper is covered in a molded Purple shell that replaces the usual layered materials around the mudguard and lace panels. Black accents appear throughout the shoe, including the Swoosh and supporting details, creating a similar contrast to the original Foamposite release. Mesh lands on the tongues in a lighter shade of Purple, as well as the signature branding. Lastly, Black appears on the rubber outsole that’s outlined with a translucent finish.
