ORIGINAL STORY:
Nike is preparing a new batch of Halloween-themed sneakers for this year. Returning to their roots of unlicensed movie-inspired products, the Air Force 1 will don the Scream movies’ Ghostface mask for this year’s collection.
Halloween is one of Nike’s favorite holiday celebrations, dropping a series of special releases each year themed after monsters or concepts relating to the spookiest day of the year. The brand’s “Mummy” SB Dunk from 2021 remains one of their best offerings so far this decade, though last year’s molded skull AF1 and the “Reaper” KD18 are also contenders. We are still several months our from Halloween in 2026, but Nike appears to be returning to unlicensed movie-themed releases this October.
The first sneaker from Nike’s inevitable Halloween series for this year has leaked months ahead of its rumored October launch. Similar to the famous Freddy Kruger SB Dunk from 2007, which recreated the Nightmare on Elm Street villain in sneaker form, the Scream franchise’s Ghostface killer will be the inspiration for a special pair of the Air Force 1 Low. Thi colorway features a white upper with worn edges in black, and a ripped up Swoosh added to either side. Jagged red Swooshes appear on the heels, with other small red accents to round out the color palette. The tongue branding even comes with a Nike logo in similar lettering to the Scream logo.
NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW “GHOSTFACE” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike has not made any announcements regarding their release lineup for Halloween this year, but we expect their special releases to arrive ahead of the October holiday. The “Ghostface” inspired take on the Air Force 1 features plenty of spooky details, and will likely be available from both the Swoosh and select retailers. Pricing is currently unknown for this drop.
